Pausing Submissions vs. Pausing Your Campaign

Stop new submissions only, or pause your whole campaign — here's what each option does to your campaign and your budget.

Autopilot campaigns give you two ways to pause, so you can stop exactly what you need. You'll find both on your campaign's Campaign Overview.

Before You Pause: Give It Time

Autopilot performance builds over time. The first days are mostly testing, and results improve once winners are found and scaled. Pausing your campaign after only a few days won't help it — it stops the campaign before it can find what works. To see real results, keep your campaign running. If your hooks aren't working, adjust your campaign, brief or daily Performance Budget instead — you can change them at any time.

Only unhappy with one video? Remove that video from boosting instead of pausing. It stops receiving ad spend, and the rest of your campaign keeps running. You can also block a creator so they can't submit again.

Pause Submissions

What it does: Creators can no longer submit new videos to your campaign.

What keeps running: Boosting continues on the videos you already have. Your daily Performance Budget keeps being spent on testing and scaling those videos.

Use it when: You have enough content and want to keep scaling your winners without adding new creatives.

Your campaign status changes to Submissions paused.

Pause Your Whole Campaign

What it does: Boosting stops on all your videos and no new submissions come in. Nothing is tested or scaled while your campaign is paused.

Use it when: You want to stop spending — for example over a holiday, while you update your brief, or while you fix your target URL.

Your campaign status changes to Paused.

What Happens to the Queue?

When your campaign is paused, the queue of submissions waiting to be tested is frozen. Nothing is removed and nobody loses their spot. When you resume, testing picks up exactly where it left off.

What Happens to My Budget?

  • Submissions paused — Your daily Performance Budget keeps being spent on boosting your existing videos.

  • Campaign paused — No new ad spend while paused.
