Setting up a CPM deal starts with the basics about your brand and product, then flows straight into building your brief. Everything you enter here feeds the AI Brief Builder — so the more context you give, the better your brief. With CPM deals, content is automatically reviewed by AI against your brief, so clarity is everything.
Getting Started
To create a new CPM deal:
Go to your dashboard
Click CPM in the left sidebar
Click Create CPM Deal
Fill in the basic information
You'll move through these steps in the left-hand menu: Get Started → Additional Details → Inspirational Content → Create Brief.
Get Started
Campaign name — Choose a clear, descriptive title that tells creators what the campaign is about. Keep it simple and direct — "Fitness App Video Ads" is better than "App Videos."
Industry — Select the industry (or industries) that fit your brand. This helps attract creators who specialize in your niche.
Website — Enter your website URL so creators can learn more about your brand.
Describe your product and who it's for — Choose Generate with AI to have the AI pull a first-draft description straight from your website, or Write your own to enter it manually. Either way, you can edit the result. This description is used to help generate your brief and is not visible to creators, so be specific about what makes your product unique.
Who can participate — Choose the countries and regions eligible for your campaign.
Product imagery — Upload an image that represents your campaign — this is what creators see when browsing CPM deals. Recommended: 9:16 aspect ratio, 512×1024px, max 5MB. Drag and drop or browse to upload.
Additional Details
These details give the AI more to work with and sharpen your brief.
Product Name — The name of your product or service.
Product Type — Select the type that best describes what you're offering (for example, a digital product).
Selling points — Highlight the key features, benefits, and problems your product solves. Add at least one — these directly help the AI understand your product.
Call To Action — Tell creators what call to action to say in their content.
Allow AI Generated Submissions (optional) — Toggle this on if you want to allow creators to use AI-generated elements in their submissions. It's off by default.
Add Inspiration Content
Inspiration content is one of the most important steps — it shows creators what success looks like and powers the AI Brief Builder.
We recommend adding at least one TikTok or Instagram link so the AI can generate the best brief. Other links can also be added and will be visible to creators.
Click Add inspiration, then either upload a video or paste a link. For each piece of inspiration, add a note answering "What specifically do you love about this piece of content?" so the AI understands what you like about it.
Where to find inspiration:
TikTok
Instagram Reels
YouTube Shorts
Facebook/Meta Ads Library
Content from your portfolio
Tips for choosing inspiration:
Look for videos with high engagement in your niche
Check what your competitors are doing and see what's working for them
Find content that educates, entertains, or sparks curiosity
Add 3 to 5 examples with notes on why each one works
Create Your Brief
The Create Brief step is where your brief comes together. This is the main body creators will read — and that the AI will use to automatically approve or reject submissions.
You have two options:
Option 1: Generate with AI
Click Generate with AI to have the AI Brief Builder create your brief automatically. It pulls from everything you've entered — your product details, selling points, and inspiration content — to generate a complete, structured brief, fine-tuned for your brand.
Learn more about how this works in our AI Brief Builder article.
Option 2: Start with a Template
Choose Start with template to begin from a pre-built structure. Replace each placeholder with your own content and edit freely in the text editor. Use the formatting tools to add headers, bullet points, links, and more.
What to include in your brief:
What your product is and why users love it
Key features to highlight (keep it focused — don't overload)
The style and format you're looking for
Hooks and angles that work well
What makes content go viral in your niche
Why Brief Quality Matters for CPM
With CPM deals, your brief controls everything. Content is automatically approved or rejected by AI based on how well it follows your brief.
Clear briefs = more approved content that matches your vision
Vague briefs = inconsistent content and more rejections
Take the time to get your brief right — it's the single biggest lever you have for ensuring high-quality, on-brand content at scale.
Keep It Focused
Don't overload creators with too many details. Focus on:
The core feature that will entice viewers to click
A subtle call to action to keep the content feeling organic
The goal is to drive clicks to your product, not explain every detail in the video. Let your product or website do the deeper explaining.
Next Steps
Once your brief is ready, click Next to add the assets and links creators can use in their content.
