How Does Posted Track Views and Make Sure They're Real?

We only count views that are genuinely earned. Here's how it works:

We pull data directly from the TikTok and Instagram APIs

Posted connects to TikTok's and Instagram's official APIs to retrieve view counts on creator content for Contests and Deals. There's no relying on creator-submitted screenshots or self-reported numbers. The data comes straight from the source.

We filter out bot and fake engagement

Posted has a system in place that actively checks for bot activity and inauthentic engagement. Any views that don't meet our quality standards are excluded before they're counted.

What you see in your dashboard reflects only qualified views from real viewers.

How results are tracked for Autopilot campaigns

In Autopilot campaigns, the most promising submissions are boosted as paid ads. Your results — impressions, views, clicks, CTR and CPC — come directly from the ad platform (TikTok or Instagram) where your videos are running. You see the same performance data an advertiser would see in their own ads manager.

You can trust the numbers

Whether you're running a Contest, a Deal or an Autopilot campaign, every number you see comes from the platforms themselves and passes through our verification process — no inflated metrics, no fake traffic.
