Can I use Posted when I have a physical product?

Updated this week

Yes, you can use Posted when you have a physical product!

Posted works great for physical products across all niches — fashion, food & drink, beauty, tech, and more. You don't always need to ship products to creators, and we recommend starting with digital assets for the best results.

Option 1: Provide Digital Assets (Recommended)

The easiest and most effective approach is providing digital assets that creators incorporate into their content. This includes:

  • Product B-roll footage

  • High-quality images

  • Logos and brand videos

You can upload files directly to the platform or share links from Google Drive or Dropbox.

This is the preferred option for most brands because:

  • No shipping logistics to manage

  • Faster turnaround — creators can start immediately

  • Works at scale — run contests with hundreds of creators without coordinating deliveries

  • Lower cost — no shipping fees or product samples needed

Many brands find this works better than managing physical distribution since creators get what they need right away and can focus on making great content.

Option 2: Work With Creators Who Have Your Product

If you specifically need content with your physical product shown in the video, use our Deals feature to find creators who already have — or can obtain — your product.

In your deal brief, specify that creators need the actual product and include how they can get it. For example:

  • A link to a form where creators can request the product

  • An email address for product requests

  • A link to where they can purchase it

Tip: If creators need to buy the product themselves, consider mentioning reimbursement in your brief. This makes it more attractive for creators to participate and shows you value their investment.

Important: Posted does not have infrastructure for handling product shipping. If you choose this option, you'll need to manage all shipping logistics yourself — including collecting addresses, sending products, and tracking deliveries.

Keep in mind this approach requires more coordination and is best suited for smaller, targeted campaigns rather than large-scale contests.

Which Option Is Right for You?

  • Digital assets (Option 1) — Best for speed, scale, and simplicity. This is what we recommend for most brands.

  • Physical product (Option 2) — Only necessary when hands-on, authentic product interaction is essential to your content. Requires you to handle all shipping yourself.

When in doubt, start with digital assets. You'll get content faster and can always explore physical product campaigns later.
